Advance Hair Extensions Maintenance

Normally Micro Rings hair extensions last for up to 3 months and can last longer with correct care and hair extensions maintenance. In most cases, due to the high quality of hair we use, hair extensions can be re-applied again which is cost efficient.

Each client should determine the frequency of the maintenance procedure in between of changing their hair extensions sets. Usually clients choose to maintain their hair every 4-6 weeks. The maintenance procedure involves re-tightening the Advance MicroBonds and thorough brushing to prevent tangling etc. Full care is given to your hair extensions and advice is provided on further management of your hair extensions. Our research shows that Advance Hair Extensions maintenance significantly prolongs the life of your hair extensions.

Homecare

Shampooing

Use shampoo and conditioner suitable for use on coloured / chemically treated hair.

Do not massage you hair.

Apply conditioner from below Microbonds and start to comb from the ends up towards the roots.

Rinse thoroughly and leave to dry naturally.

Use leave in conditioner or maintenance spray where possible to add extra moisture to your hair.

Styling

Brush or comb your hair extensions through to style.

Finish by using medium heat ceramic straightening tongs or blow dry with a hand dryer and round bristle brush.

Sleep

Before going to bed, tie your hair extensions back using a soft bobble or braid your hair into one loose large braid at the back of your neck.

Do not use elasticised bobbles as these can tug on your hair and loosen your hair extensions prematurely.

After waking up, undo the braid and comb through from ends to roots.

Sauna

Braid your hair into one loose large braid at the back of your neck.

Do not wrap your hair in a towel so as not to compress your hair.

Undo the braid, comb through, shampoo and condition your hair extensions.

Swimming

Never wear a swimming hat or anything to cover your hair, as the lapping action of the water can get beneath the hat and cause matting.

Braid your hair in one braid at the nape.

Try to keep most of your head out of water.

Never swim under water. No diving whatsoever.

Undo the braid, comb through, shampoo and condition your hair extensions.

Sun Bathing

Braid your hair into one loose large braid at the back of your neck.

After sunbath, do not undo the braid until hair cools down.

After hair has cooled, undo the braid, comb through, shampoo and condition your hair extensions.
